This year’s program will include the following training options

Level 100 Training
US Sailing–Sanctioned International Offshore Safety at Sea Course with Hands-On Training (ISAF Traditional)

Participants must complete the US Sailing Online Offshore Safety at Sea Course (Units 1–15) in advance and attend the Hands-On Training Seminar to receive certification.

Level 200 Training
If you have previously completed Storm Trysail Hands-On Training and all required US Sailing online modules, you may be eligible for our Level 200 Course.
This option is offered by invitation only and includes:

Advanced, in-depth training in key sessions with expanded interactive opportunities beyond the standard course

A morning onshore session focused on leadership and decision-making, preparation and planning, and crew organization

An extended afternoon on-the-water session with coaching, including damage control, man-overboard recovery, abandon-ship procedures into a life raft, pyrotechnics from the raft, and recovery by a rescue vessel

A concluding PFD and life-raft session in the pool, followed by a classroom debrief

Storm Trysail’s Level 200 course is the only such program recognized by US Sailing as meeting recertification standards.

Multihull Training
For the first time, participants may complete their on-the-water training aboard a multihull. This option is tailored to the unique requirements of crew-overboard recovery from multihulls.
Space is limited. Not available for the Level 200 option.

All-Women’s On-the-Water Training
Once again, we will offer an all-women’s boat for the on-the-water training session.

If you are interested in Level 200, Multihull Training, or the All-Women’s option, please contact us at:
