As our offshore racing family eagerly anticipates the 53rd Thrash to the Onion Patch, the Storm Trysail Foundation is embarking on a mission to raise $25,000 by the start of the Race on June 21st. Our goal is not just a financial milestone but also to find support from 53 new donors.
In 2023, we witnessed a remarkable 10% increase in small donors, and now, we're rallying our members to continue this trend. Every contribution matters, whether it's a symbolic $36 in homage to the stormy 1936 Bermuda Race that inspired our club's founders, $88 for each year since our establishment in 1937, or a significant $636 representing the total miles of the Race.
To keep the excitement alive, and just like the Race itself we've introduced a tracker that will be regularly updated to follow our progress. But that's not all – thanks to a generous donation from the Bo Lycke Foundation, every contribution under $1000 will be matched, doubling the impact of your support up to our $25,000 target.
From fostering Safety at Sea Education to providing grants for community sailing organizations, these funds are instrumental in making a positive impact up and down the coast. We invite you to be a part of this meaningful experience for so many; contributing to a cause leaves a lasting legacy. Together, let's make a difference that surpasses the lighthouse trophies.
